February 2015 video click here
February, like most of our months, is all about the weather, our first ride featured an unexpected amount of snow which necessitated conversion to a road ride just to get a few miles in. Later rides tended to be muddy and often windy but mostly sunny, in fact Britain is on course for the sunniest winter since 1929, although paradoxically the wettest too.
The old Santa Cruz was brought out of retirement while the Specialized 29er waits for a new bottom bracket, a Hope replacement for the stock item which, after 12 months of North Yorkshire’s finest slop now resembles a spoon in a bowl of porridge. Decidedly weird returning to 26” wheels, at first it felt like riding a BMX bike.
A special get well soon to Dave, who managed to break his elbow in 4 places on The Chute in Guisborough Woods.
